⬛️ [ ASH WEDNESDAY:  Return to the Lord ]

⬜️ Ash Wednesday is an invitation to begin again,
to turn back to God.

🟨 We were formed from dust, and to dust we will return.

Just as ashes mark the forehead, sin can leave its mark on the heart.

So today is not about cleaning up our image. It is about surrendering our heart back to the One who made it.

——

🟧 First, stop hiding, come before God with honesty.

Second, stop making excuses, own what needs to be owned.

Third, take one small step of obedience today, and let that be your beginning.

——

🟥 Even now, the Lord speaks
"Do not perform a life before Me. I do not want your appearance, I want your heart. Come back to me”

——

✝️ "Even now," declares the Lord,
"return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning…
Rend your heart and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God."
(Joel 2:12–13)
