1. Background
As the U.S. Director Church of The Evangelism Vessel, our church was asked to participate in the Again Times Square rally and prepared together with our members to join this historic event. The summer’s rally gathered about 2,500 people, and this year we once again witnessed that same fire and passion.

-
Sept 27 (Sat) Evening: Return
**Pastor Kim's family's schedule was different, same-day flight both ways
3. Atmosphere
-
Around 1,500 believers and churches gathered and proclaimed the gospel with one voice.
-
Not only did Korean-American churches across the U.S. unite, but people of many different ethnicities and generations also joined together—an unforgettable sight.
-
Among our church members, six of our middle and high school youth actively served in ushering and support teams.
- In addition, Henry Jeon, who lives in New York, joined us and served by taking photos and helping with the guidance, which was a great support to the team.
4. Fruits and Blessings
-
Youth participation and experience: Our church’s youth had the unique opportunity to join worship with more than a thousand believers, singing and praising together in a massive gathering. They also experienced firsthand the meaning of evangelism as they went out to the streets to share the gospel. This was more than just “coming along”—it was a chance for the next generation to stand in the heart of gospel ministry.
-
Spiritual energy in the city: In the very center of a world-class city like Times Square, the gospel proclamation gave everyone boldness and spiritual energy. Both youth and adults felt the power of the gospel proclaimed at the very center of worldly culture.
-
Gospel impact: Through street evangelism, many conversations were had with passersby. Some showed genuine interest and even made decisions, and these will be connected with local churches for follow-up.
-
Spiritual challenge: Our congregation was once again reminded of the urgency of the gospel and the power of unity, rekindling passion for our church’s mission.
-
Grace on the way home: Even on the way back to Charlotte, at the airport, people approached us asking what event we had been part of and shared how they were touched. We realized the gospel was being shared not only at the event, but even along the journey home.
-
Encouragement and strength: Before departure and upon return, Pastor William sent 2–3 minute video messages of encouragement. All our youth and members watched and were highly encouraged.
5. Reflections and Next Steps
-
The Evangelism Vessel headquarters has requested that on September 1, 2026 (“9-1 in Korean means Salvation”), simultaneous street evangelism rallies be held on the same day and same time in major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, and Charlotte. This vision of proclaiming the gospel nationwide calls for prayer and discernment, and our church must actively consider our participation.
-
Based on this experience, we see the need not only for overseas evangelism but also for consistent street evangelism and public gospel witness locally in our own city.
6. Additional Report
-
During this week’s Sunday Service, we will share a video recap of the event.
-
The video is being prepared by Pauline, who has been diligently working on it so that the whole congregation may share in the blessing of this experience.
Conclusion
The Again Times Square rally was not just another event, but a historic moment of proclaiming the gospel in the very heart of the world. Our church, as the U.S. Director Church of The Evangelism Vessel, reaffirmed our calling and responsibility, while each member—especially the next generation—experienced God’s grace deeply.
We pray that our church will continue to be used in the flow of gospel proclamation and unity in the years to come.
